WHEN ARE YOUR VENDORS OPEN?
Our Vendors are open Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 10am-6pm. Note that only the midway and concert stages operate on Friday evening. ART EXHIBITS ARE NOT OPEN ON FRIDAY!
HOW CAN WE GET TO KEMPENFEST?
We offer free shuttles all weekend long, with pick up points at 2 different locations where free off-site parking is provided. Detailed schedules and maps are available under the SHUTTLES menu tab.
CAN WE BRING OUR DOGS?
If you truly love your dog, we highly recommend leaving them at home. They will be much happier there. Kempenfest is one of the hottest weekends of the year and with so many people it is not safe for pets. City of Barrie Bylaws prohibit dogs on the beach, in grass park areas (which is where most vendors are) in any food operations, or in the concert venues. So your experience at Kempenfest will be very limited if you bring your dog with you.
IS THERE AN ADMISSION FEE?
There is no fee to enter Kempenfest and shop the arts and crafts and antique exhibitors. Evening concerts and Monday afternoon’s Main Stage shows are ticketed events. Saturday and Sunday afternoon shows on the OLG Main Stage are free. The Ontario Turkey Farmers Kids Village is FREE as are all the shows on the KOOL FM Family Stage in the Kids Village. The Midway has fees to ride and play their games.
IS THERE ACCESSIBLE PARKING?
There are a number of accessible parking spots along the waterfront. During the event, the entire Tiffin Boat Launch parking lot is designated as Accessible Parking – valid permits are required.
CAN I BRING LAWN CHAIRS, COOLER BAGS OR PICNIC BASKETS TO CONCERTS?
Lawn chairs are not permitted in the main concert venue. This is for security and safety reasons. Chairs are provided under the tented viewing areas. The area directly in front of the stage is standing room only. No outside food or beverage can be brought into the Concert venue. Food, soft drinks, beer and coolers are sold inside. NOTE: all back packs and shoulder bags are subject to security search prior to entering.
CAN CHILDREN ATTEND CONERTS AT THE MAIN STAGE?
Children under 12 are admitted to concerts for free. The VIP section, however, is 19+ only.
