Land Acknowledgement
Kempenfest acknowledges the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg people, which include the Odawa, Ojibwe, and Pottawatomi Nations collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy. We also acknowledge the Wendat Nation (Huron), who occupied these lands prior to the middle of the 17th century.
We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous history and culture and recognize the enduring presence of Indigenous peoples on this land. We are committed to moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and respect with all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people.
PARTNERS
Our Partners are Simply the Best
Media Partners
Without these great folks, Kempenfest would be the world’s best-kept secret. Instead, our media partners play a critical role in promoting the festival to hundreds of thousands of people. Whichever is your go-to favourite for news, information or music, you’ll be kept up to date on what’s happening at Kempenfest.
Live Concert Partners
Music is such a major part of Kempenfest, and our live concert partners play an important role in making the festival’s entertainment programming possible. We thank our partners for their continued support.
Government and Industry Partner
An event the magnitude of Kempenfest could not be possible without tremendous support at all levels of government, from the City of Barrie and Tourism Barrie, to the County of Simcoe, the Province’s Regional Tourism Organization RTO7, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Festivals and Events Ontario and our national Armed Forces at Base Borden.
Our community is strong and vast, and we thank all our government and industry supporters.
Our Not-For-Profit Organizers
An event the magnitude of Kempenfest could not be possible without the contributions of these not-for-profit groups, who help organize and staff various aspects of the festival. They are the heart and soul of Kempenfest.
OUR SPONSORS
Thank you for your support.
Kempenfest has been truly blessed by some of the most incredible partners we could ask for. Presenting a major festival like Kempenfest requires significant financial and community support. The generous contributions of our partners help make it possible to keep festival admission free for everyone, with the exception of ticketed MainStage concerts.
Many of our partners are here on site throughout the weekend, so when you see them, thank them for helping Kempenfest continue to thrive for 55 editions.
