Go North on Essa Road to Tiffin Street, then turn right to Lakeshore Drive, go left on Lakeshore drive towards town, first exit is Tiffin Boat Launch, next drive past that is Will Dwyer Park that’s our location – look for large ANTIGUES feather signs at entrance to lot. Show Hours 9:30 am until 6:00 pm on Saturday, Sunday AND Monday, FRIDAY is optional. Set Up Dealers may set up after 1:00PM through 6:00PM on Thursday & 8:00AM – 6:00PM on Friday subject to coordination with Optimist representatives at the site, ON SATURDAY MORNING all vehicles must be off the sales site by 9:00AM. Reproductions Reproductions are only allowed if PRE-APPROVED by the Optimist Club of Barrie. CRAFTS are NOT permitted in the Antiques section of the show unless authorized by the Kempenfest Committee in advance of the show i.e. Emerging Artists Tent. Vehicle Parking Dealers may park one trailer inside their booth, motorized vehicles are NOT allowed on the site during show hours with some flexibility – discuss with your convenor, all City and Park rules must be observed. VERY IMPORTANT – vehicles are not allowed on the site or to move on the site until after the closing time daily – NO EXCEPTIONS! Parking Permits are provided at a discounted rate, the 2024 price is not known yet. Please keep in mind that for 2024 the parking area will NO LONGER be managed. Booth Markings Each booth will be marked with a painted number, along with painted markings for each corner. Your vehicle and tent (if used) and tie downs, where applicable must stay within these boundaries. Presentation and Appearance We understand that the Antiques & Collectibles market has changed. We still attempt to maintain a high standard and make sure that the event does not slip into a Flea Market or Garage Sale type atmosphere, we insist on the following: Objectionable items, if identified must be removed immediately e.g. Nazi and black face items Displays must be neat and well organized. Vendors and helpers are expected to maintain a business like demeanor at all times. All items, displays and rubbish must be removed at the end of the show and shall not be left beside any refuse receptacles at the site, subject to bylaw enforcement and fines. If you are selling NEW items please consult with the convenor in advance of the show. Terms & ConditionsPlease read and accept the terms & conditions below. Check–In will be open after 1:00 to 6:00pm on Thursday & 8:00am – 6:00pm on Friday, while the show is NOT open until Saturday morning, you are free to sell during check-in and set up. Exhibitors must set up and open by 9:30 am daily and are expected to remain set up until 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday and on closing day Monday. The Antique Committee reserves the right to limit the number of exhibitors in any one category and the right to final decisions regarding entry to the show. Only one vendor is allowed per site. THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS May 1, 2024. A deposit of 50% of the fees Must accompany the application - BALANCE is due July 1, 2024. Only quality antiques, vintage, decorative and collectibles items will be permitted for sale. Reproductions are not to form part of your display unless approved in advance. Space allotment is final. Requests for certain exhibit space will be entertained. If for any reason the Antique, Vintage & Collectibles Show & Sale cannot be conducted, this agreement shall become null and void and the amount of rent paid by the Lessee shall be refunded without interest. Deposits or fees for cancellations after July 1, 2024 are subject to a 50% non-refundable hold back due to costs incurred by the Optimist Club by that time. The Lessor, being the Optimist Club of Barrie, shall not be liable to the Lessee, his/ her employees, agents or customers for any personal injury or damage to property; and everything brought onto the premises by the Lessee, his/ her servants or agents shall be entirely at the risk of the Lessee or other owner for any loss or damage from any cause whatsoever. Vendors are strongly encouraged to insure themselves appropriately. The Lessee shall indemnify and save harmless the Lessor, its employees, agents, etc. from any claims or loss, damage, or injury to persons or property caused by the Lessee, his/ her employees or agents through a wrongful act, neglect or default. The Optimist Club of Barrie, Volunteers and their staff will not be responsible or liable for any loss due to theft or fire, or from any other reason and/ or damage to equipment, fixtures or stock. The Lessor reserves the right to change the booth location of the Lessee if the Lessor deems this is necessary for proper balance of the show or for any other reasons deemed necessary by the Lessors for the benefit of the show. The Lessee, its employees, agents or representatives agrees and shall be bound by any rules and regulations associated with health and safety as may be in place at the time of the event including but not limited to space and social distancing restrictions, mask requirements, vaccination requirements and any other rules or regulations governing public events.
