For more than 25 years, the Optimist Club of Barrie has coordinated Antiques, Vintage & Collectibles vendors during Kempenfest. Some vendors are inside a large tent, while others are spread-out, open-air style at the Will Dwyer Park on Barrie’s waterfront.

We have a good mix of new and old from as far away as Montreal and others from all over Ontario. Each dealer is unique with a bit of everything, from toys to jewelry, furniture and a variety of glass wares, old books, dishes and some vintage clothing – even sports memorabilia, it’s really a browsers delight!
Some of our vendors have been with us since day one but each year we see a few new vendors all with some very interesting “as is” items, repurposed pieces, tables, chairs, old windows, art pieces, signs and various knick-knacks that you might say offer something for everyone and it’s this variety that brings us repeat and new visitors looking for a great find!

All of the funds raised from space rentals for Antiques at Kempenfest go to support local youth projects by the Optimist Club including local sports, arts, crafts and youth groups.

At nearby Centennial Beach playground you’ll see evidence of what the proceeds from Kempenfest Antiques helped rebuild and it’s a busy spot during Kempenfest! Your support at Kempenfest helps make positive community projects like this one a reality!
